Ashanti Shequoiya Doug, better known for her stage name Ashanti was born October 13 the 13th of October, 1980 at Glen Cove New York United States. She is a songwriter, singer and actress born in her native United States. Ashanti was discovered while a teenager and eventually joined Murder Inc. Records in 2002. The singer was in The Fat Joe's What's Luv? song that the same year. She was also featured on the Fat Joe's hit song What's the Luv?
